Legacy device WiFi connection – older Pro models running Porteus (Linux)

  • Connect a keyboard and mouse to your player’s USB port.
  • Power your player on let it boot all the way up for about a minute.
  • Press CTRL+ALT+E to open network settings.
  • If a toolbar appears, then click on the little computer symbol at the lower-right to select your network and type in the password. When done, press the escape key.
  • If no toolbar appears then simply click on the + button in the pop-up window to add a connection.
  • Choose “Wi-Fi” and click “Create”
  • In the SSID eld type in your WiFi network’s name (look on your phone to see EXACTLY how it’s spelled)
  • If your WiFi network doesn’t have a password, then nish by clicking on “Save” at the bottom.
  • If your WiFi network has a password then click on “Wi-Fi Security” and choose “WPA &WPA2 Personal”
  • Type in your password and nish by clicking on “Save” at the bottom.
  • After about 30 seconds your player will connect to the network and start running. If this doesn’t happen then double check the spelling of both the name (SSID) and password and modify as necessary.
